PLAYERS AND COACH BIOGRAPHIES

3. Giuseppe Poeta (born September 12, 1985 in Battipaglia) is an Italian point guard. He is 191 cm tall and he weighs 81 kg. Poeta joined local club Pallacanestro Salerno, where he spent five seasons, before joining Prima Veroli of the third division. With Veroli, he scored a sensational 51 points in a single game. Then, he signed with Teramo Basket and Virtus Bologna, a team where he had two successful seasons, reaching the play-offs twice and being appointed captain. In July 2015, after one year and a half spent playing abroad playing for Laboral Kutxa and Manresa, Poeta returned to Italy, signing a one-year deal with Dolomiti Energia Trentino. From 2007, he established himself in the Italian national basketball team, being part of the Italy squad for EuroBasket 2013 and of the preliminary one for EuroBasket 2015, despite not making the final cut.

 

4. Jamarr Rodez Sanders (born August 2, 1988 in Chicago) is an American shooting guard. He is 193 cm tall and he weighs 95 kg. His nickname is 2Eazy and his hometown is Montgomery, Alabama. He played college basketball for Alabama St. Hornets and UAB Blazers from 2009 to 2011, averaging 17.8 points per game in the 2010/11 season. He arrived in Europe in the 2011/2012, when he played for Greek side Kao Dramas, before moving back to USA in the following season winning the NBA D-League title with the Austin Toros. Sanders signed with Dolomiti Energia Trentino in the season 2014/2015, after a season spent playing for Adecco Gold team Veroli.

 

7. Davide Pascolo (born December 14, 1990 in Udine) is an Italian power forward. He is 202 cm tall and he weighs 88 kg. His professional career begins with Pallacanestro Udine, and he signed for Dolomiti Energia Trentino in the 2011/2012 season. He was elected MVP of the 2012/2013 Coppa Italia LegaDue, won by Dolomiti Energia Trentino. In the following season, Dolomiti Energia Trentino achieved the promotion to the highest Italian division and Pascolo scored an average of 16.0 points per game and made 64.7% of his shoots. Pascolo also has four appearances with Italian national team and he has played for the national U-20 team as well.

 

8. Filippo Baldi Rossi (born October 26, 1991 in Vignola) is an Italian power forward/centre. He is 207 cm tall and he weighs 97 kg. He moved his first steps as a basketball player in Virtus Bologna. After two seasons spent playing with Perugia Basket, he signed for PMS Torino. He became part of Dolomiti Energia Trentino in the 2013/2014 season, helping the team reach the promotion in Serie A. He has featured in the 2011 U-20 European Championship with the Italian basketball team, achieving the silver medal.


10. Andrés Pablo “Toto” Forray (born March 20, 1986 in Buenos Aires) is an Italian-Argentinian point guard, captain of Dolomiti Energia Trentino. He is 186 cm tall and he weighs 83 kg. He spent 12 years in youth basketball playing for Club Banco Provincia di Buenos Aires, before moving first to the youth team of Pallacanestro Messina and then to fifth division team Virtus Padova. In the 2005/2006 season he joined Jesolo SanDonà Basket, achieving two promotions in three seasons. Forray signed for Fulgor Libertas Forlì in 2008, where he scored his career high of 28 points against Fortitudo Bologna and stayed until joining Dolomiti Energia Trentino in 2011.

 

11. Johan Löfberg (born July 8, 1995 in Stockolm) is a Swedish forward. He is 200 cm tall and he weighs 84 kg. He has played for two years in the Mens Sana Siena youth team and he played last season in Sweden Basketligan (Swedish first division) for Eco Örebro, averaging 11.2 points per game. He has played several times for Swedish national youth team, achieving the second positioning in the last U-20 European Championship, averaging 15.4 points per game. On August 2015, Löfberg joined Dolomiti Energia Trentino.

 

12. Diego Flaccadori (born May 4, 1996 in Seriate) is an Italian shooting guard. He is 192 cm tall and he weighs 80 kg. His hometown is Cenate Sopra, Lombardia, he moved his first steps as a basketball player in Blu Orobica and then played for Remer Treviglio in Lega Silver. In 2014/2015 season, he signed a five years deal with Dolomiti Energia Trentino. Considered one of the most talented Italian young basketball players, Flaccadori has captained Italy’s national U18 and U19 both in European and World Championship, averaging respectively 16.1 and 17.6 points per game .

 

23. Dominique Sutton (born October 20, 1986 in Durham, North Carolina) is an American shooting small forward. He is 196 cm tall and he weighs 96 kg. He played college basketball for Kansas State University and North Carolina Central University, averaging 16.4 points per game in the 2011/2012 season. In 2012, he was picked by the Tulsa 66ers in NBA Development League. After playing in Greece and Philippines, he won the D-League championship with Santa Cruz Warriors. In July 2015, Sutton joined Golden State Warriors for the 2015 NBA Summer League and later that month, he signed a one-year deal with Dolomiti Energia Trentino.

 

24. Trent Lockett (born December 10, 1990 in Golden Valley, Minnesota) is an American small forward. He is 196 cm tall and he weighs 95 kg. He played college basketball for Arizona State and Marquette. After going undrafted in the 2013 NBA draft, he signed with the Sacramento Kings. Lockett was later acquired by Reno Bighorns as an affiliate player. In the 2014/2015 season he signed with German side Basketball Löwen Braunschweig, averaging 12.5 points per game. For the 2015/2016 season, he signed a one-year deal with Dolomiti Energia Trentino.

 

25. Luca Lechthaler (born February 23, 1986 in Mezzocorona) is an Italian centre. He is 206 cm tall and he weighs 105 kg. He has played for Mens Sana Siena from 2003, achieving five Serie A league titles, three victories in Coppa Italia (Italian league cup) and winning twice Supercoppa Italiana (Italian Supercup). Lechthaler has also played for other Italian teams, such as Dinamo Sassari, B.C. Ferrara, Sutor Montegranaro, Reyer Venezia and Scandone Avellino. He has played three times for the Italian basketball team and in 2015, he signed with Dolomiti Energia Trentino.

 

30. Julian Wright (born May 20, 1987 in Chicago Heights) is an American power forward/centre. He is 203 cm tall and he weighs 107 kg. He played collegiately for the University of Kansas. In his spell at Kansas Jayhawks, he was praised for his superior athleticism and his ability to help his team. He was selected as the 13th overall selection in the 2007 NBA Draft by the New Orleans Hornets. On August 2010, Wright was traded to the Toronto Raptors for Marco Belinelli. He left USA in 2012 after playing 231 games in th NBA, and he later played for many European teams, such as Panathinaikos and Brnei Herzlyia. For the 2014/2015, Wright joined Dolomiti Energia Trentino.

 

COACH. Maurizio Buscaglia (born April 9, 1969, in Bari) is Dolomiti Energia Trentino’s head coach since 2010. He started his career in the youth team of Perugia Basket, and became head coach of Serie B2 team Piove di Sacco team in 1996. Later he signed for Dolomiti Energia Trentino in 2003, and he managed to obtain the promotion from Serie C1 to Serie B2 in 2005. He left the team in 2007, and in the following seasons he coached Bears Mestre and achieved a promotion to Serie B1 with Perugia Basket. From 2010, Buscaglia returned to Trento, leading the club to other two promotions and being awarded as the Best Coach in the Serie A League in the 2014/2015 season. His assistant coaches are Vincenzo Cavazzana and Davide Dusmet.
